Our Story
Matthew is a dedicated photographer with over a decade of experience capturing authentic, meaningful moments for families, students, and communities. For years, he has poured his heart into helping others preserve their memories often putting others first, even while quietly facing his own challenges.
In recent years, Matthew’s life has been deeply impacted by severe Crohn’s Disease. Complications, including painful abscesses and ongoing treatments, have required frequent doctor visits, procedures, and infusions every four weeks. What used to be a stable routine has become unpredictable, physically exhausting, and financially overwhelming.
Despite everything, Matthew continues to hold onto hope. He is working toward healing while slowly finding his way back to photography, something that brings him purpose and connection. With the support of others, he hopes to regain stability, continue his care, and rebuild a life that allows him to do what he loves again. Any support is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Family Updates
We wanted to share a quick update on how things have been for us lately.
First, we received some unexpected support through Help Me Bounce $1,216 was donated toward our rent during Spare Key’s Groove Gala. That honestly meant a lot. It took some pressure off during a time where things have felt pretty tight and uncertain.
Health wise, it’s still a day by day situation. Crohn’s has been unpredictable, with ongoing appointments, infusions every four weeks, and the kind of fatigue and pain that can make normal routines hard to keep up. Some days are better than others, but it’s been a big adjustment for both of us.
We’ve been doing our best to take things one step at a time, resting when needed, and trying to stay steady through it all. There’s still a lot we’re figuring out, but we’re holding onto what we can.
This support reminded us that we’re not doing this alone, and that really matters right now. We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity in helping us get through this stretch.
