Hi, my name is Rorie Joanna Alma Stanturf. I know my name is long, but my parents gave me three strong names! I decided to come earlier than planned, and I was born at 25 weeks! My lungs really under developed, and was born with a hole in my heart. MyNICU stay was only a 103 days at trinity, and came home on oxygen only. My time at home with my parents has been only 3 months. I've had two hospital stays, one being for my oxygen levels being low, then a second time I was admitted for pneumonia in my left lung (my weakest one sadly).
I stayed for 7 days when I was sent home, but still had pneumonia, I was happy for a bit, but then I got sicker. My parents knew something was really wrong, so they took me to Garrison hospital, where they confirmed I had pneumonia in both lungs now. From there they transferred me to Bismarck, where they have been doing everything they can to help me get better. I am now intubated and resting to get better. They've ran tests on my heart, and found abnormalities. Now I am being life flighted to Minnesota, where they will help me fix anything that is wrong on my heart.
