Life took an unexpected turn recently when I underwent an ilectomy, cecumectomy, and bowel resection. This surgery has presented some significant challenges, including a longer recovery period than anticipated. As a result, I'm temporarily unable to work and am facing difficulties covering my essential expenses, like rent. I'm determined to heal and get back on my feet, and I'm reaching out to this community for a little support during this unexpected chapter. Any help you can offer would mean the world to me as I focus on recovery and getting back to Independence.

Following her bowel resection, Vicki experienced internal bleeding and an infection, which unfortunately led to her readmission to the hospital. To help manage the infection, a drain has been placed. She remains in the hospital and is currently receiving IV antibiotics to combat the infection. At this time, the date of her discharge and return home is still uncertain as the medical team focuses on resolving these complications.
