The Tellez-Vargas Family

Leonel was born on June 28th of 2022 full term, although he was born with a heart condition.  At the time we stayed with Leo for about a month in the NICU. He received all sorts of medications and oxygen to help him and thankfully his heart has been responding well. 

I am here asking for help since he was placed in the NICU and we live an hour away from the hospital, expenses have caught up to us, and we are not an Iowa resident so their is very limit help. Going back and forth from Iowa to our home to see him and staying was overwhelming since my husband and I had to be off work for some weeks.  Leo has an older brother that is autistic, and also makes it challenging for us in those moments.  

Since then we have had some trips back and some complications with this cold season and just keeps adding more financial struggle to our family.
