The Thormodsgaard Family

Haakon Kent Thormodsgaard surprised mommy and daddy by arriving early to this world at 27 weeks gestation. Things were smooth sailing until moms body decided it was time for an unknown reasons and Haakon has taken all turns with a warriors strength. Arriving to his world at 2 pounds 6 ounces and 14 inches long. He has a machine to help him remember to breath as his little lungs weren’t quite ready for that yet. His heart is strong but has an open duct that needs closing and his kidneys are trying to catch up to all the change. His doctors and nurses are so amazing and he is such a tough little guy! Mommy and daddy are so proud of him!

Update: after 101 days Haakon finally came home for the first time. He remains on oxygen and inhalers as well as medication for his reflux. He is doing well at home but continues to see many specialists and has some specific needs. Any help you can offer goes a long ways! Thank you!
