The Washington Family

August 13, 2022, I (Ebony Washington) was pulled over by an officer for speeding , and the officer pulled a gun on me in front of our kids while I was pregnant with our Angel Baby Zionna. 

November 15, 2022, I went into early labor by having an emergency c-section due to high blood pressure, trauma and PTSD from the officer pulling a gun on me & threatening my life. On the same day, Tracy, my husband, tested positive for Covid (our other kids did to a few days after he did as well) which made him not able to be present for our Angel Baby Zionna being born 2 months premature. They were away from me and he was out of work for over two weeks due to Covid.

November 23, 2023, Zionna was diagnosed with Trisomy 13. Our Angel baby Zionna came home for the first time & my family was able to spend quality time with her on January 16, 2023. But on February 1, 2023, Zionna had an apnea episode which put her into cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital.

Sadly, on February 21, 2023, our Angel Baby Zionna transitioned into heaven. Tracy off of work for almost a week as we grieved the loss of our daughter and planned her funeral. Then on March 4, 2023, we had her funeral (which is also my husband, Tracy, birthday)

I’m a stay at home mom (I work part time about 4-5 hours weekly) and my husband is a truck driver for our logistics company. He’s the “breadwinner”, therefore when he’s off, we loose money. As you can see from the timeline above, he was forced to take time off and it wasn't for leisure reasons. My life is going in a downhill spiral and I honestly wish this was an awful nightmare that I can wake up from, but it’s not. Therefore, I’m still trying to stay hopeful and believe that God is still on our side and things will start to “spiral” up somehow soon.
