Seasons greetings. In June 2025 I suffered an ACL tear and meniscus bucket tear to my left knee after a falling accident. I was out of work for 2 months and could only to return to work under strict restrictions. I went from working full time to only five and a half hours a day and I’m in a full length leg brace limiting my mobility. Since my husband died in 2023, I've been a (widowed) single mom raising 2 kids age 9 & 11, trying to pay for market high monthly expenses & bills on starvation wages. 

I’m between a rock and a hard place especially right now during the holidays. My kids and i depend on the little income I earn at my job at Walmart,  but still have to reach out for the grace of others to help us in this difficult situation. I may only go back to work full time if I get a surgery but I can’t get the surgery because I can’t miss work in order to heal. The stress and hardship this injury has caused is affecting me emotionally mentally financially and physically. 

My car battery decided to give out and had to use money intended for rent to get a tow and replacement battery. I’ve tried to source out programs for this Christmas to cover for some gifts for my children. Time is nearing for Christmas, but I still owe $370 towards December’s rent and late fees are piling up. My landlord has shown me grace but if I don’t get caught up soon I’ll be facing eviction. I am hoping this campaign can help us get caught up and stay on track! and  leave a few. dollars to get a couple gifts for my kiddos. 

We do receive food benefits so that’s a lifeline as rising cost of groceries are upon us.
