The Zent Family
Our Story
In March of 2022 Leslie suffered from a concussion as a result of a fall caused by MEPAN, a degenerative neurological disease. In April, Leslie contracted a Staph infection after seeing a doctor who did not wear gloves during an examination of a leg wound. As a result of these events, Leslie was unable to maintain her employment. In June, Leslie contacted Covid-19, which further hampered her ability to seek employment. In July, Leslie learned that she needed to have shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff. The surgery took place in August. Leslie is currently in post-op recovery and looking forward to getting back to work after healing. In September, Leslie was informed that her SSDI benefits would be ending immediately. These factors have all resulted in financial hardship, preventing the Zent family from being able to cover health insurance, mortgage, and utility expenses.
