Meet Amelia and Aiden, they were born very prematurely at 27 weeks and 4 days. They are our miracle children, born from multiple infertility treatments, the last being 2 IVF procedures. Originally they were supposed to be born around 36 weeks, despite coming into the world so early, our babies are little troopers. Now, since they were born so early, they will probably not come home closer to their due date of June 26th. I had a C-section and will be off for 8 weeks to heal, and in that time have exhausted all FMLA and PTO. The six weeks that they have to be home will be completely unpaid, which gives this mom extra anxiety on top of taking care of 2 newborns for the very first time. All we want is the time these wonderful babies deserve to care for them without worry.
